Unboxing: B.A.P - Excuse Me, 10+Star Magazine (YesAsia)
Posted by Kim
By now I've ordered from YesAsia so many times that I can't even keep track. I love YesAsia. They're very customer-friendly: if your package doesn't arrive and you let them know, they'll send you your order again or give you a refund for something that's out of stock. They also reply to questions quickly and, in this case, they were particularly helpful: I had already placed an order for B.A.P's Excuse Me single (type A and the limited edition) when I found out about the 10+Star magazine. So I asked them if they could add the magazine to my existing order, and they did! Some people will complain about how prices at YesAsia are higher, but this is because shipping is free. I promise you that, if you add shipping to the same order at other websites, the difference is much smaller. Sometimes shipping can take a while, but I've also had things arrive within a week, so I'm going to continue using them. Nothing has ever been stuck in customs with them.
This order included: B.A.P's Excuse Me Type A, B.A.P's Excuse Me limited edition with goods, Korean 10+Star magazine and a free Japan mini toy (if you order two or more Japanese items, you can choose a free toy; this can be a keychain, a very small figure, or something else entirely, and although you can choose the theme, it's always a surprise what you'll actually get).
Big box!
My items in bubble wrap with the packing slip.
And there everything is, all spread out! The limited edition and the magazine are roughly the same size. XD
I first had a look at the Type A CD and this was taped to the back. Hi, boys!
Back of the CD and the picture taken from its plastic.
And the front of the CD after I had removed the plastic.
The inside of the case. I was really happy to see I'd gotten a Himchan card, since he is my main bias. ♥ Plus an application ticket I'll never be able to use. XD
And the inside without the cards. XD
The CD and DVD!
The booklet. I know, the front is just like the front of the case, but let's ignore that for a second. XD
And so we've reached the end of this one. XD I like the look of it, though, and I'm especially happy they still use the Matoki. ♥
Another (the same) group picture was taped to the back of the limited edition. Well then. XD
The back without the picture and the front.
Then the back after I removed the back cover and the front without the cover there.
This keychain is so freaking adorable! Just look at it! The material feels quite nice too.
And I know you can't see it very well, but it's lit up here. There are four settings: fast flashing, slow flashing, continuous light, no light at all.
The CD on its own.
The inside of the case, with yet another Himchan photo card (I've asked if anyone wants to trade, because I love him, but I don't need two of the same XD) and a Jongup application card.
And the booklet!
The plastic inside the big front cover can also be removed!
My opinion on the CDs: ...buy them? XD Excuse Me is my favourite song off Badman, and I was really happy they were using it for a Japanese single. I don't always know how to feel about Japanese version of Korean songs (or vice versa), but I really like this one. ZERO is so, so amazing and so underrated and I love it so much. Seriously, good on them for including it on here! It's just as perfect in Japanese, really, but you can tell their voices have grown, and that makes it so good. Then there's Excuse Me with the original rap and, well, obviously I like that too. :P Would be a bit weird if I didn't. I do like that they have versions like that on every single, though. And I actually like the instrumental version of Excuse Me a lot more than I expected I would! You miss a lot when you're paying attention to their voices, but apart from that it's still a genuinely good song. I love the instruments, no kidding. I adore the instrumental of ZERO. It's so calming somehow, I don't know. Coffee Shop, pretty as it is, is a song I usually need to be in the mood for. But it's still lovely, in Japanese as well, and I got just as excited over Himchan's voice as in the Korean version. (Not just because it's Himchan; I think his voice fits this song SO WELL. Youngjae's too. Those mellow voices that sound like coffee, somehow.) The instrumental of Coffee Shop is really pretty. Again: you miss a lot when they're singing. :P Like violins! All in all, what stood out to me the most were the instrumentals. Although I always like them, I don't really listen to them much, but in this case all three were so good that I might use them while working from now.
My opinion on the DVD: worth it! I had already seen the MV and, well, dead. They all look so good and it makes me laugh (especially Youngjae does) and I could watch it for ages. ...And may have done. The making-of is all kinds of amazing as well, but because I've probably fangirled enough already, I'll stop here. Just watch it! :)
The magazine! The letters are all in relief, which makes it seem to be of very high quality. Well, it is of high quality, by the feel and look of it. I got this because of B.A.P, but was pleasantly surprised to see more artists in it I adore!
Like JYJ! (Okay, it's mostly Jaejoong I like.)
B.A.P as flower men. ♥
My beautiful Secret ladies!
And Block B! Although I have no clue what's being said in the magazine, since I don't know Korean, I absolutely love this one. All the different groups, the quality, the pictures, etc; it's clearly a good one. Very pleased I got it. :)
And lastly, my Japan mini toy. XD It's a Rilakkuma charm. :)
