Unboxing: G.L.A.M.S - Under the Moon

This wasn't sold by a shop, but via the website of the G.L.A.M.S project. This project was formed by Mikaru, former vocalist of Dio - Distraught Overlord (one of my favourite bands), Digras and Black Line. He has one of my favourite voices in Jrock, so I've kept up with him (he and Kei - one of Dio's guitarists - were my favourite members, but unfortunately Kei seems to have left the music scene entirely). When I realised I could order the CD fairly easily, I did. I simply sent an email to the website stating the information asked for, received a Paypal invoice, paid it, and my CD got shipped! With EMS, which I think is the default shipping method.
The envelope! One thing I noticed: it's all filled in by hand.
Once I opened the envelope and removed the invoice from the back, there was a blank white bubble envelope inside and this was what I encountered in there. I hadn't expected any pictures to be included, so I was pleasantly surprised! (Also: yes, he had an exhibition in Paris for his art work. I wasn't able to go, though.)
When I turned over the plastic pocket with the picture, I found this note. It made me laugh, though my fiancée seemed less amused. XD In any case, I like that he went through the trouble of adding a note at all.
Then there turned out to be two pictures instead of one! Both signed, both really good quality. That bright flash with another autograph is the back of the note.
After removing the plastic from the CD, it looked like this. Well, after I took the obi off as well, of course. I always place the obi inside the case later on.
Back of the CD.
Inside. It looks really, really good! On the left is the lyrics booklet. The pictures below are of the inside of the booklet.
My opinion on the CD: it's really, really good. It's heavy rock, not quite the heavy metal of Dio - Distraught Overlord I fell in love with, but still heavy enough. The Other Side of the Moon showcases Mikaru's strong voice very well. Call My Name is slightly heavier and also gives the spotlight to the instruments a bit more, with Mikaru's voice fading into the background a few times, but not in a bad way. Then there's 12:00 A.M., which starts off with a piano. I love pianos like you wouldn't believe, so of course I can't help but like this song. :P This song is slightly slower, with both an acoustic and an electric guitar, drums, etc, and it has a prettier feel to it. I fell in love with the chorus especially. Wanderer sounds a bit more upbeat (though I don't know what the lyrics mean, so I may be wrong, hahaha XD), more of a fast rock song, I guess? Some bits remind me of Gackt, but not in a bad way and definitely not all of it. And, again: more attention for the instruments! The last song, The Light of My Life, is kind of mellow. Not boring, but just nice, pleasant, and if my ears aren't betraying me, there are violins and pianos in it. There's also a really good guitar solo in it. Overall, I'm very impressed!
